In June, 2004, I got a call from a concerned citizen of Princeton who discovered snapping turtle eggs laid in a pile of top soil. After carefully removing them from the property, I brought them home and I am trying to hatch them. To this date, 15 of the 23 are still viable. Watch this site in late August or early September to see if our eggs hatch.

Our Three-toed Box Turtle laid two eggs on March 2, 2003. Although the “father” of these eggs is a different species (he is an Ornate Box Turtle), we are hopeful that the eggs will be viable. Watch this site in early June for information on the hatchlings.
